Antioxidant
Metal parts that are phosphated or degreased are not resistant to corrosion. Corrosion prevention or antioxidant products form a layer on the metal, preventing the metal from coming into contact with air. They protect the metal from rusting and oxidation. If the parts are going to wait for a few days, it is advisable to protect them with anti-corrosion chemicals to prevent rust from forming until the next step (paint, protective oil, etc.).
Antioxidants prevent oxidation in various ways, as oxidation leads to corrosion, loss of strength, and changes in the properties of metals. Some prevent oxygen from coming into contact with the metal by forming a protective layer on the metal surface. Others prevent oxidation by absorbing oxygen or free radicals. Some increase the resistance of the metal to oxidation by changing its electrochemical potential.
Anti-corrosion products prevent the continuous rusting of metal parts in water. These substances are added to the water used in leak tests in the production of radiators, tube condensers and similar parts. It allows these solutions to be used for a long time without changing color. Overall, these substances play a vital role in increasing the useful life of parts, reducing maintenance costs and improving the efficiency of production processes.
